Stenosis
Area with diameter narrowing of arterial lumen
Hemodynamic consequences: Localized increased in blood flow velocity at/near site of stenosis
Increase in velocity proportional to diameter narrowing
Turbulent flow with spectral broadening occurs distal to stenosis and is caused by nonlaminar blood flow

Area where lumen completely blocked with absent flow
