    • CSs are paired parasellar dural venous sinuses of central skull base region at confluence of multiple veins draining orbit, sylvian fissure, and middle and anterior fossa; ultimately provide venous drainage posteriorly and inferiorly via inferior petrosal, superior petrosal, and basilar venous sinuses
    • CSs contain several cranial nerves and internal carotid artery (ICA)
