Definitions

• CPA-IAC cistern: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) space in CPA & IAC containing CNVII & CNVIII & AICA loop
• IAC fundus: Lateral CSF-filled cap of IAC cistern containing distal CNVII, SVN, IVN, & cochlear nerve
• Cochlear nerve canal: Bony opening connecting IAC fundus to cochlea
• Porus acusticus: Large opening at medial aspect of IAC connecting it to CPA cistern
