            • Deep vein thrombosis: Condition in which blood solidifies, producing blood clot (thrombus) within deep venous system, typically in lower limbs
              • Can also be seen in upper limbs (especially related to central venous catheters)
            • Pulmonary embolism (PE): Obstruction of pulmonary artery or 1 of its branches by embolus, usually blood clot derived from leg vein thrombosis
            • Venous thromboembolic disease (VTED): Combined deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism
