                    • More common, wide distribution, endemic in sheep-raising areas (Australia, Mediterranean region, South America, Middle East, New Zealand)
                  • Echinococcus multilocularis (E. multilocularis): Alveolar echinococcosis
                    • Rare; most cases in Europe, some in China
